Tonight I attend the Mount Roland RIvercare Catchment Inc (MRRCCi) AGM. I have been a member of MRRCCi since joining Council. We had a few politicians there tonight, Dick Adams (Labor House of Reps) and Richard Colbeck (Liberal Senator). I had a good talk to them both. I have a bit more understanding of politicians now.
MRRCCi have just won a State Landcare award and are heading to Canberra for the national awards soon. Pretty impressive.
On October 18 there will be a Willows Field Day hosted by MRRCCi. If you would like to learn a little of the impact of certain Willows on our rivers then come to the CLaude Road Hall at 1pm and come on a field expedition.
A good BBQ was put on before the AGM with wallaby sausages on the menu. Rivercare meets monthly if you would like to become a member.
